Once one of the most respected psychiatrists in the field of sleep disorders and abnormal psychology, Dr. Gideon Black was the Chief Psychiatrist at the Night Terrors Institute. But Dr. Black became obsessed with a single question: What happens when a nightmare is allowed to continue after the patient wakes up?
His experiments began with sleep deprivation…then hypnosis…then sensory manipulation…then treatments no legitimate medical institution would ever approve. Driven from the medical world, Dr. Black leased a hidden space deep beneath the Garret Hotel, where he could continue his “research” far from the scrutiny of his former colleagues. Dr. Black believes fear is not an illness…It is a doorway. And somewhere behind that doorway lies a person’s true self. His patients rarely agree. But to Dr. Black, disagreement is simply another symptom. Dr. Gideon Black is now accepting new patients. But once you enter…your nightmare is no longer a dream.

The heavy doors of the century-old hotel groan as they creak open, revealing a dimly lit room drenched in shadows. Dust clings to ornate light fixtures and faded wallpaper, whispering tales of a bygone era. As the group gathers, a chill brushes against your neck—not a draft, but something... different. The tour guide, a flashlight casting eerie beams that dance across the room, beckons you to step deeper into the hotel's labyrinthine corridors.
Equipped with EMF detectors, spirit boxes, and dousing rods, you clutch the ghost hunting gear tightly. Each beep and flicker sends jolts of adrenaline through the air. The guide recounts the spine-chilling tales of the hotel residents, who are still scurrying around in the dead of night, making sure the guests are being taken care of. As you approach the door, the devices hum faintly—a sign, perhaps, that you are not alone.
In the employee quarters, the atmosphere grows heavier, and the spirit box begins to crackle. Through the static, you hear it—a faint voice, a single word. The guide halts, eyes wide, as the group freezes in place. Is it your mind playing tricks, or have you truly made contact with the lingering spirits that call this place their home?
Every step, every sound, every shadow keeps you on edge. As the tour progresses, the line between the living and the spectral seems to blur, leaving you to wonder: when you leave this haunted hotel, will all the spirits remain behind?
We conduct private ghost tours throughout the year. Our ghost tours consist of paranormal investigations of the historic Garrett Hotel, which is over 100 years old, and is listed on the national historic register; and is also the building in which our haunted attraction is housed. The tours are conducted using professional ghost hunting equipment, which allows you to see fit yourself, the presence of spirit activity. The tours are private, with small groups, and guaranteed to be a unique experience!

Came out for the haunted house with a group of four and we all loved it. There were moments where we were actually scared and moments where we were laughing, which is the right mix for a Friday night out. Nice people that work there too. Seems like they really care.

Genuinely terrifying. I drove over an hour and didn't regret it for a second. The scares felt real and the sets were put together really well. If you're on the fence, just go.

Absolutely AMAZING! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was creepy, immersive, and full of suspense. Every detail was so well thought out, and the entire experience had us on edge from beginning to end. The decorations, sound effects, lighting, and unexpected scares made it feel like we had stepped into a real haunted hotel straight out of a horror movie!
The actors did an incredible job staying in character and making every interaction feel realistic. Just when we thought we were safe, something would happen that had us screaming, laughing, and questioning why we decided to come in the first place! 😂 The scares were creative, unpredictable, and perfectly timed, making the experience exciting the entire way through.
What really stood out was how much effort went into making everything feel authentic. It wasn’t just about jump scares; it was the atmosphere, the storytelling, and the feeling that something could be lurking around every corner. You could tell the staff put a lot of passion into creating an unforgettable experience.
If you’re a fan of horror, haunted attractions, or just looking for something fun and different to do, this is an absolute MUST! I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good scare. We had an incredible time, and I would 100% come back again. Definitely an experience worth having! 👻🖤

We've done a bunch of haunted houses, so I wasn't really sure what to expect from a ghost tour. This was completely different. The hotel is creepy on its own, especially at night, and some of the things that happened during our tour were honestly hard to explain. Especially the floating orb around the corner on the 2nd floor. It was wild.
I won't say we came out believing everything, but we definitely left talking about it!

The ghost tour at the Garrett Hotel was fantastic. It was spooky and interesting, particularly for a bit of a skeptic like myself. They did an excellent job of involving us all and digging into the history of the hotel, and I really liked that it felt like a personalized thing and not rushed at all. Absolutely worth doing.

I liked that this wasn't one of those tours where the guide tries to convince you that every noise is a ghost. Those are the worst. Here they told us the history, gave us the equipment, and let us see what happened for ourselves. Was it paranormal? something else? Either way it was a really fun night.
