For over 20 years now the Hickory Grove Haunted Trail has been in operation. What started out with a couple of friends and a crazy idea has turned into a tradition in Gaston County. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us through the years. We could not have been successful without you. We have always had a tremendous amount of help and support from family, friends, and different organizations in our community.
Settled in the backwoods of the South Fork River, the Hickory Grove Haunted Trail is one of the original and oldest haunted attractions in the Charlotte, N.C. area. The staff here at HGHT is dedicated to giving our visitors the thrill they are seeking. Our guides will lead you through a dark winding path filled with uncertainty and suspense! If you're ready for a heart pounding stroll on a brisk autumn night. If you have a passion for Horror or are curious about the unknown or unseen. We dare you to enter our woods! Returning Halloween to the way it was meant to be-no Hollywood aliens or make believe monsters-no theme park attractions. It’s not Halloween unless we visit Hickory Grove Haunted Trail. We have traveled to many haunted venues throughout our area . The one thing we always realize “Most never compare to Hickory Grove.
Their real love for the haunted season is apparent!!

I took my nephews to the trail. Despite the scares, and the many times they screamed, they liked the place very much. The trail through the dark freaked me out. Chucky scared us all. The actors’ were professionals. Their costumes looked real. Food was awesome too. Great work by the management and team. I would suggest this trail to everyone out there.

My friend and I had been there on a Friday night. We did not have to wait for long in the line. Quickly got in and had a guide come along with us, a very talkative guy. I felt it is not for the faint hearts. I usually don’t scare easily but this place got my heart pounding. The actors truly deliver. They really love what they are doing and they know it better than anyone else. It was an awesome event. Chucky was the most scary and I remember sprinting out screaming. It was scary and funny. You should not miss this one.
