this place is the best. Went saturday night and it was awesome. Normaly only get scared just a couple of time but this place scared me and my crew all the way through and we are full grown adults men and women lol. I like that it is a trail and haunted houses all in one. You get everything at this attraction. We drove an hour to get their and it was well worth the trip. Not just a little short spook but we spent about and hour and 45 minutes and like i said well worth it and we will be back. This family has did a fantastic job with this attraction your the best.

  • Great!!

All I can say is WOW!!! It does not look like much from the parking lot but once you get in there it is big. The trail keeps going and going. The houses looked great. And the actor’s makeup looked great and keeps you going the entire time. This must be a family doing this because there were people of all ages working. And they all look like they are having fun. This was my 3rd year going there. And every year it gets better. I drive about an 2 hours to get there. I live in the Greensboro area. (we have a good one up here to Woods of Terror but I think there both the best in the state) And I look forward to it ever year. You can tell they send a lot of time and money setting these houses up. Very detailed!! I have been to haunted houses all over NC. And there are some good onces out there. But I put Darkside in the top 3 in NC. And #1 in the Raleigh area.

  • don't waste your money

worst haunted trail I have ever been on in my life. Too many annoying children took part in the acting and half the people weren't even in costumes. They just would pop up and scream in your ears. The acting was horrible as well. It takes about an hour to get through and I have never been so ready to be done with something in my life, not to mention the headache I had when I left. Was able to visit the slaugter house right across the street and if your looking for some fun and halloween scare go there! They have an awesome crew and actors. The costumes were the best I've seen.

  • Great place for a small town

Been here several times. This is as good as and sometimes better than the Jaycees Haunted Houses in Raleigh. I drive from Rocky Mount to visit it. Don't bother with the one across the street. Unless they have drastically changed it, it's not worth your time.
